This healthy recipe is perfect to make with your toddler or kids, my favorite way of bringing my joy of baking together with my daughter. It's an easy and joyful one to make because it requires only a few ingredients and limited steps as well.
This is a recipe I found on the MJ and Hungryman website, and when we adapted it in our home my daughter absolutely fell in love with each bite. Here's the quick and easy recipe for you to enjoy below!
Strawberry Oat Bars Recipe
Ingredients:
2 cups roughly chopped strawberries
1 1/4 cups milk
1 medium banana
2 cups rolled oats
2 tablespoons chia seeds
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup sliced strawberries for topping
Steps:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Farenheit. Grease an 8x8 baking pan
Add milk and the 2 cups of chopped strawberries into a blender and blend until well mixed.
Mash your banana in a mixing bowl. Add in the strawberry milk, banana, rolled oats, chia seeds, cinnamon and vanilla. Mix well.
Pour your batter into the baking pan. Add the 1 cup of sliced strawberries by laying them across the top of the batter.
Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes.
Leave to cool on the counter for 20 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!
